Gorse and Blackberry Mulching

We’ll remove these hardy weeds, leaving the land ready to use.

A common request is to clear land of blackberry or gorse. These stubborn woody scrub species were both introduced to New Zealand during European settlement, and have proved to be nuisance weeds which can render large tracts of land unusable. 

Both of these plants are tough and thorny, making them difficult and often painful to remove by hand. Our Robocut machine can do the job remotely and perform well even on steep slopes. It has specialised tools that make it easily able to remove the pesky gorse and blackberry shrubs that are standing between you and a productive piece of land. While these stubborn plants do regenerate, the seedlings are easily removed, sprayed, or eaten by sheep before the problem becomes unmanageable.

Slope mowing

Most ride-on mowers cannot safely operate on gradients above 15 degrees. However, we live in a country of hills, mountains, valleys, and rolling farmland. Sometimes, that just won’t cut it (pun intended).

Bamboo removal

Get rid of bamboo with no fuss.

Bamboo is invasive and can rapidly take over a section of land to create an almost-impenetrable thicket which is very difficult to manage or remove by hand. We can remove bamboo quickly to return your land to a clear and useful state.

With our Robocut we can cut down and mulch bamboo plants. The remote capabilities of the machine allow us to operate even in inaccessible areas safely, and its low centre of gravity means that we can clear bamboo on slopes of up to 60 degrees. With our stump grinding specialised stump grinding attachment, we can also remove stumps below the ground to allow land to be turned over down the track without underground obstructions causing issues.
